Abstract

Markov chain in the stochastic process is widely used in the industrial problems particularly in the problem of determining the market share of products. In this paper we are going to extend the one in the random field so called the Markov Random Field and applied also in the market share problem with restriction the market is considered as a discrete lattice and Pott's models are going to be used as the potential function. Metropolis sampler is going to be used to determine the stability condition. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Rantai Markov dalam proses stokastik seringkali digunakan dalam penyelesaian masalah industri khususnya dalam masalah penentuan market share. Dalam artikel ini akan dibahas perluasan Rantai Markov tesebut ke dalam sebuah random field yang disebut sebagai Markov Random Field (MRF) yang juga akan diaplikasikan pada masalah market share dengan batasan daerah pemasarannya dianggap sebagai sebuah lattice diskrit dan fungsi potensial yang akan digunakan adalah Potts models. Akan digunakan Metropolis sampler untuk menentukan kondisi stabil. Kata kunci: proses stokastik, Markov Random Field, Gibbs Random Field, Potts model, Metropolis sampling.

Abstract

The research is focused on comparing Genetics algorithm and Simulated Annealing in the term of performa and processing time. The main purpose is to find out performance both of the algorithm to solve minimizing makespan and total flowtime in a particular flowshop system. Performances of the algorithms are found by simulating problems with variation of jobs and machines combination. The result show the Simulated Annealing is much better than the Genetics up to 90%. The Genetics, however, only had score in processing time, but the trend that plotted suggest that in problems with lots of jobs and lots of machines, the Simulated Annealing will run much faster than the Genetics. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pembandingan algoritma Genetika dan Simulated Annealing ditinjau dari aspek performa dan waktu proses. Tujuannya adalah untuk melihat kemampuan dua algoritma tersebut untuk menyelesaikan problem-problem penjadwalan flow shop dengan kriteria minimasi makespan dan total flowtime. Kemampuan kedua algoritma tersebut dilihat dengan melakukan simulasi yang dilakukan pada kombinasi-kombinasi job dan mesin yang berbeda-beda. Hasil simulasi menunjukan algoritma Simulated Annealing lebih unggul dari algoritma Genetika hingga 90%, algoritma Genetika hanya unggul pada waktu proses saja, namun dengan tren waktu proses yang terbentuk, diyakini pada problem dengan kombinasi job dan mesin yang banyak, algoritma Simulated Annealing dapat lebih cepat daripada algoritma Genetika. Kata kunci: Algoritma Genetika, Simulated Annealing, flow shop, makespan, total flowtime.

Abstract

In this article , response surface method is used to determine optimum setting for machine in order to optimize the production in injection moulding compan, which produces goods from plastic that has a large amount of defect. According to pareto chart, the largest defect is a hole defect. It is caused by no suitable setting for inject pressure, inject timer, and temperature. In order to solve the problem, it used 3k experiment design. The result show that the optimum setting are 55Mpa for inject pressure, 4.2s for inject timer, and 224o C for temperature with decreasing of defective 7.3%. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Dalam artikel ini, metode response surface digunakan untuk menentukan titik optimal dari setting mesin di perusahaan injection moulding, sehingga didapatkan jumlah produksi yang optimal. Selama ini perusahaan memproduksi produk yang terbuat dari plastik dengan tingkat kecacatan yang cukup besar. Karena itu, perusahaan berusaha mengurangi tingkat kecacatan yang terjadi. Berdasarkan diagram pareto, tingkat kecacatan terbesar adalah cacat lubang. Untuk menyelesaikan penyebab kecacatan tersebut dilakukan suatu perancangan eksperimen yaitu dengan rancangan 3k. Penyebab kecacatan adalah inject pressure, inject timer, temperatur. Pada saat inject pressure 55 Mpa, inject timer 4,2s dan temperatur 224o C menghasilkan kondisi yang optimal sehingga tingkat kecacatan turun sebesar 7.3 %. Kata kunci: response surface, titik optimal setting, tingkat kecacatan.

Abstract

The main objective of this study, as mentioned on the title, is to determine whether there is any effect of music on physical task performance. Three different kind of music were used in this study: easy listening/slow music, hard rock music, and subject's own favorite music. The same physical task without music was also conducted for every subject as the control. To simulate the physical task, each subject has to walk on a treadmill at a constant speed (3 MPH) and inclination (4º) for six minutes. Enough rest was given after a subject finished each task. Four undergraduate and six graduate students were volunteered as subjects in this study. They are three females and seven males. Statistical analysis software programs were used to analyze the results. It is shown from this study that slow music and favorite music have significant effect on the physical task. The heart rate is significantly lower when the subjects listened to a slow music or their favorite music while performing a physical task compared with performing the same task without listening to any music. The heart rate is not significantly different when subjects listened to hard rock music compared with no music listened. On the other hand, VO2 consumption is not significantly different between without music and with all kind of music. Therefore, according to this study, it is beneficial to listen to a certain kind of music while performing a physical task since they lower the heart rate. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Tujuan utama dari paper ini adalah untuk menentukan apakah ada pengaruh dari musik terhadap performance dari seseorang saat melaksanakan pekerjaan fisik. Tiga jenis musik digunakan dalam studi ini: musik ringan, hard rock, dan musik favorit masing-masing subjek. Pekerjaan fisik yang sama tanpa musik juga dilaksanakan sebagai kontrol. Sebagai pekerjaan fisik, setiap subjek berjalan di atas treadmill dengan kecepatan konstan (4.8 km/jam) dan kemiringan konstan (4º) selama 6 menit. Setiap subjek diberikan istirahat yang cukup setiap kali selesai melaksanakan satu eksperimen. Sepuluh mahasiswa, tiga wanita dan tujuh pria berpartisipasi secara sukarela dalam studi ini. Program statistik digunakan untuk menganalisa hasil studi. Dari hasil perhitungan, tampak bahwa musik ringan dan favorit secara signifikan mempengaruhi performance fisik. Detak jantung per menit lebih rendah saat subyek mendengarkan musik ringan atau musik favorit mereka sambil melaksanakan pekerjaan fisik, dibandingkan tanpa mendengarkan musik. Pada saat mendengarkan musik hard rock, detak jantung menurun tetapi tidak signifikan. Di lain pihak, konsumsi oksigen tidak menurun secara signifikan bila tanpa musik dibandingkan dengan mendengarkan musik. Karena itu, akan lebih menguntungkan bila pada saat melakukan suatu pekerjaan fisik, pekerja mendengarkan musik ringan atau musik favorit mereka. Abstract

To compete in the global market, business performer who active in industry fields should have and get information quickly and accurately, so they could make the precise decision. Traditional cost accounting system cannot give sufficient information, so many industries shift to Activity-Based Costing system (ABC). ABC system is more complex and need more data that should be save and process, so it should be applied information technology and database than traditional cost accounting system. The development of the software technology recently makes the construction of application program is not problem again. The primary problem is how to design database that presented information quickly and accurately. For that reason it necessary to make the model first. This paper discusses database modelling with semantic object model approach. This model is easier to use and is generate more normal database design than entity relationship model approach. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Dalam persaingan di pasar bebas, para pelaku bisnis di bidang industri dalam membuat suatu keputusan yang tepat memerlukan informasi secara cepat dan akurat. Sistem akuntansi biaya tradisional tidak dapat menyediakan informasi yang memadai, sehingga banyak perusahaan industri yang beralih ke sistem Activity-Based Costing (ABC). Tetapi, sistem ABC merupakan sistem yang kompleks dan memerlukan banyak data yang harus disimpan dan diolah, sehingga harus menggunakan teknologi informasi dan database. Kemajuan di bidang perangkat lunak mengakibatkan pembuatan aplikasi program bukan masalah lagi. Permasalahan utama adalah bagaimana merancang database, agar dapat menyajikan informasi secara cepat dan akurat. Untuk itu, dalam makalah ini dibahas pemodelan database dengan pendekatan semantic object model. Model data ini lebih mudah digunakan dan menghasilkan transformasi yang lebih normal, jika dibandingkan dengan entity relationship model yang umum digunakan. Kata kunci: Sub Sistem Produksi, Semantic Object Model, Database Relational.
